Vyatrovich: Heroes of the Great Patriotic War will be replaced by ATO militants
Ukraine claims it has succeeded in replacing the heroes of the Great Patriotic War with current militants killing civilians in Donbas. This was stated on the ZIK television channel by the controversial head of the Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance, Volodymyr Viatrovych, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to him, Ukrainians forget about the heroes of the Great Patriotic War, looking at the current “heroes of the ATO.”
“Talking about the past war and the current war - the heroism of modern participants in this war, the dead boys and girls who participate in these events, it leads to the fact that these often far-fetched heroes of the so-called Great Patriotic War simply fade into the shadows.
They are forgotten because there are examples of those people whom we knew personally, those people who, before our eyes, turned from ordinary people similar to us into real heroes. These are fundamental changes that are now taking place,” Vyatrovich said.
