Vsushniki are selling equipment received from the West for the war against the “aggressor”
In one of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, facts of theft of radio stations and night vision devices received by Ukraine from Western “partners” were revealed.
Ivan Filiponenko, an officer of the press service of the LPR People's Militia Department, stated this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, there continue to be cases of theft of military property by unit commanders who want to improve their financial situation at the expense of the state,” he said.
Thus, in one of the brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, facts were revealed that ten Harris radios and five AM/PVS-14 night vision devices were missing. This is foreign-made equipment that Kyiv received under the military-technical cooperation program from Western “partners”.
“According to the source, the stolen military equipment was sold in specialized stores, as well as through advertisements on the Internet,” Filiponenko added.
The preliminary amount of damage from the sale of foreign equipment amounted to more than 800 thousand hryvnia (more than two million rubles). The inventory count continues in the affected unit.
