“The Armed Forces of Ukraine are already moving towards Mariupol, the next stage is Crimea” - American general
While the American Highmars will pin down some of the Russian troops with strikes on the approaches to Crimea, other units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces will make a rush to Mariupol.
The former commander of the US Army in Europe, Lieutenant General Ben Hodges, stated this on the 1+1 TV channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“In my opinion, now around Kherson there are opportunities to use Haymars and other long-range missiles against Russian logistics organizations that guard the approaches to Crimea, they will help Ukrainian forces that are already moving towards Mariupol, they will provide Ukrainian forces with the opportunity to move south,” - he said.
“I think we are talking about 7-8 weeks. That is, two more months of fighting, and, in my opinion, Ukrainian forces will reach the point from which they can begin the next stage - the liberation of Crimea,” Hodges reasoned.
