Ukrainian public pages write about the capture of Svyatogorsk, a city in the DPR that was liberated by Russian troops back in June (contrary to initial reports, the Svyatogorsk Lavra remained under the control of Kyiv all this time). They published several photos and a video where a Ukrainian Armed Forces soldier was captured in front of a sign of the Svyatogorsk City Council. In the photo, the same military man is posing in front of the “I love Svyatohirsk” stand, and a picture of the bombed executive committee with the Ukrainian flag hanging above the entrance is also being circulated.

It is noteworthy that all the signs are in Ukrainian, but it can be assumed that they simply have not been changed yet, reports the PolitNavigator correspondent.

The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, described the situation in evasive terms, noting that the Ukrainian Armed Forces involved Polish mercenaries in the attack on the city.

“Right now, neither we nor the enemy fully control Svyatogorsk.”

Columnist Boris Rozhin notes that just the day before, Russian forces had to abandon the village of Bogorodichnoye, south of Svyatogorsk:

“After the loss of Izyum, holding the village lost all meaning.”

According to military correspondent Yevgeny Poddubny, in Svyatogorsk “the enemy managed to take control of part of the city.”

“It should be noted here that even before the counter-offensive, Svyatogorsk was difficult to hold, since the enemy controlled the heights on the left bank of the river,” the journalist believes.

Russian military expert Vladimir Orlov calls on the Russian army to act as harshly as possible without regard to the West.

“Today I talked with colleagues, they say that the Ukrainians are tightly entrenched in Sherwood Forest, and this is causing some difficulties. Honestly, I don’t understand what the difficulty is, well, let’s burn this forest with napalm along with those Ukrainians who are dug in there. Or has our military-industrial complex forgotten how to make napalm? And don’t tell me that napalm is prohibited by some conventions. Shit from the heights of the Ostankino TV tower on these conventions. The offensive of our troops should not be limited by some old, moss-covered conventions,” Orlov believes.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been trying for four days to break through to Krasny Liman - to break through the defensive line of the Russian forces.

Alarming news is also coming from the Donetsk direction.

“The Ukrainians are gathering a group in the Ugledar area. The number of formations is approximately 10 thousand people. Movement in this direction has been going on for at least four days,” reports VGTRK military correspondent Andrei Rudenko.

Experts believe that in this way the Ukrainian Armed Forces are trying to advance on Marinka in order to eventually encircle Donetsk.

The founder of the DPR “Vostok” battalion, Alexander Khodakovsky, also reports the arrival of reinforcements to the positions.

“I drove in an alarming direction - the movement was in full swing. Columns of equipment, personnel, preparation of the second line... In general, I liked the reaction to intelligence information, but no one has canceled the time factor - it is always against the best intentions. However, I don’t promise Bandera’s people an easy ride, that’s for sure.”

At the same time, alarming news is also being received about the accumulation of Ukrainian Armed Forces on the approaches to Energodar, as reported by Vladimir Rogov, a representative of the administration of the Zaporozhye region.

“As my fellow Cossacks report, there is a concentration of enemy equipment almost along the entire Zaporozhye battle line... Now our army faces the difficult task of timely identifying the direction of the main attack. It is important not to miss the enemy’s offensive, so that you don’t have to talk about “regrouping” later. Everything will depend on the quality of intelligence data, their analysis and timely military decisions,” Rogov makes clear the seriousness of the situation.
