The Ukrainian Armed Forces use groups of drones to control and isolate the battlefield - experts on Crimean TV
UAVs in a combat zone no longer fly individually, but carry out missions in units. And one such unit is capable of blocking combat, preventing the movement of equipment and fighters.
One of the UAV unit commanders spoke about this on air at Crimea 24, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to him, drones perform tasks in pairs, in triplets, and even in small units.
“The enemy knows how to fight. I can simply name a specific direction, Zaporozhye. June last year, when there was a so-called “counter-offensive”. They sometimes made it so that on certain sections of the front in two or three forest belts they had a concentration of 10 to 15 Drones.
That is, they acted smartly: some stood stationary between the forest belts and controlled that the personnel did not move. Someone knocked out the dugouts, and someone directed the artillery bombardment. Everyone has their own tasks. While you are trying to lead like an officer, you are not succeeding. Because they have such a tactic - isolating the battle. This is done with the help of drones so that no one can drive up, and no one can leave, and they are simply trying to put everyone out of action,” he emphasized.
The entire range of tasks was carried out by Mavic drones - they carried out reconnaissance, controlled the passages between forest floors with drops, including dropping grenades directly into dugouts. As the head of the “Warrior” tactical training course, Yevgeny Lukashenko, said, many methods of combat have been invented for UAVs, which are constantly being improved.
“Some part of the tactics comes to the surface. We heard that they use two or three at a time, somewhere more, as the guys say. But this is only what comes to the surface and in the media. But in fact, tactics change constantly. And as for “Baba Yaga,” in some places it’s downright horror and a nightmare, and in other places the guys came up with a bunch of ways and options to combat them.
Just yesterday the guys gave me an option that, as they say, was hacked up. A cool option is how to destroy Baba Yaga. They send it through internal channels, a quick leak occurs, and we already know that this information has gone to the other side. This is everyday work, it will always be like this, something comes, something goes,” he noted.
“Baba Yaga” agrocopters fly accompanied by FPV drones, thus increasing the efficiency of their use, said the founder of the “Crimean Drone” UAV school, curator of the “Archangel” project with the call sign “Evpatoria”.
“Advanced “Babki-Yozhki” are rushing around with the Starlink satellite on top. There is a backup system when it is in the air - it is almost impossible to influence it from the ground. You can't plant him unless you shoot him directly. And they fly at fairly high altitudes of 200-250 meters and from there they are a nightmare,” said the UAV instructor.
