This forecast was made by military correspondent Marat Khairullin, as reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The main strategic task, which is now unfolding before our eyes, like the operation near Donetsk, is the destruction or significant weakening of today’s most powerful Ukrainian group “Tavricheskaya”, which is led by a selected Nazi, General Tarnavsky.
At the time of the start of the operation - approximately 5 months ago in October - with the assault on Avdeevka, the Tavricheskaya group consisted of about 50 brigades. Today it has about 30 brigades. The rest either ceased to exist or were sent for reformatting.
According to front-line intelligence data, the majority of brigades remaining in service are less than 50 percent complete. These are the losses they suffered,” said the military correspondent.
Losses in technology are not yet calculable. Until now, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have almost never used tanks and armored personnel carriers, trying to gain a foothold on new frontiers.
“They rolled back to the second line from Avdievka. This is the line Berdychi, Orlovka, Tonenkoye, Pervomaiskoye. At this point, they almost no longer use technology. The artillery is still working, they have about half of their 18 large 155mm barrels left.
This fact suggests that their technology is very poor. Because they still cannot gain a foothold on these lines. No armored personnel carriers are visible. And near Berdychi an Abrams tank was knocked out.
The very fact that they brought the Abrams to the forefront means that their situation is desperate, because the Abrams is a vehicle that is not suitable for direct combat in modern conditions. He was instantly identified. It has a very high heat dissipation and consumes a lot of fuel. The tank must follow him all the time.
That is, they are already throwing even this precious equipment, which they prayed for, like in a cargo cult, into the “front end”. – the expert pointed out.
After the loss of Avdeevka, the Ukrainian Armed Forces tried to gain a foothold on the line Berdychi, Smenovka, Orlovka, Tonenkoye. In the Orlovka area there is a network of positions and heights that the enemy tried to cling to.
“Most likely, after Avdiivka fell, the Ukrops will not be able to really hold on in these villages. If only because we already have huge forces here, and destroying Orlovka, demolishing it in general, is not a question. If Avdeevka had already fallen, and Avdeevka here was a huge, the most important fortress on which the entire Donetsk front hung,” concluded Khairullin.
