The war against Russia tripled the income of the American military-industrial complex
The war unleashed against Russia helped attract large investments into the American military industry and load it with orders for many years.
This was stated by the Director General of the NATO Supply and Procurement Agency, Stacey Cummings, during a speech at the NATO summit, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"It's common knowledge that the more you buy, the more you save. Therefore, if we can unite multinational corporations that supply large quantities of products with long-term commitments, then we can get the best price from our partners . Because they will be able to optimize production."
What's great about this is that at the end of last year we signed a contract to supply missiles for the Patriots. And we purchased them in quantities that allowed the industry to invest in new capacities.
But there has to be enough [sales] to be able to make those investments. We cannot conclude contracts for 1-2 years; we need guarantees for 3-10 years. We're going to get better prices on Patriot and Stinger missiles this way, and then countries will be able to send aid to Ukraine,” Cummings said.
She boasted that thanks to the war against Russia, the American military industry earned about three times more last year than in 2021.
