As a result of the army's assault on the city, hundreds of houses were damaged or destroyed, and now there is a real humanitarian disaster here.

We, together with the deputies of the parliament of Novorossiya, visited the temple of the noble princes Vladimir the Great and Alexander Nevsky in the city of Yasinovataya, where a divine service was taking place. It is not difficult to imagine what the people who survived the bombing and shelling prayed to the Lord for. About peace and about daily bread. Because it, like most necessary products, is simply not available in the city, or is sorely lacking.

Deputies and volunteers unload a car with bread. Loaves of white bread are carefully placed on neatly laid tables in church storage rooms, and in a few hours this humanitarian cargo will go to the people: first of all, to those who urgently need it.

The chairman of the city society of disabled people, Viktor Korablev, who helped with unloading, says: “In Yasinovataya there are 1500 disabled people, in our society there are 600 registered, of which 30 are children. We have 10 children in wheelchairs. The majority did not go anywhere, and those who went to Odessa returned and did not come to court there. Our Zorka microdistrict was particularly affected. He was bombed day after day for 17 hours straight. And if in Yasinovataya itself there are no shops, no pharmacies, no banks, but at least the houses have survived, then in Zorka there are complete ruins. People there are like moles: they will come to the surface, say hello, the slightest noise will immediately hide. The Ukrainian military scared them so much that the very word “Ukrainian” has now become a dirty word.”

The rector of St. Nicholas Church, to which deputies of the parliament of Novorossiya also brought bread, says: “We will distribute the bread to those in need, word will quickly spread, any crust of bread is used today.”

Afterwards we go to the next temple, where our valuable cargo is already waiting. While the car with bread is unloaded at the St. Peter and Paul Church, its rector says: “Today Yasinovataya is something like a closed city due to the fact that it is in the front-line zone. There is no electricity, no gas, no water. Yesterday they brought help to Zorka, they need help there first. Many people with children remained. And children, along with adults, carry all the hardships of wartime on their fragile shoulders every day.”

We explore the temple grounds. It is very beautiful here, everything is very well maintained, and the eye is simply pleased. The war seemed to bypass this temple. But the shell crater we saw not far from the fence and a tree twisted by shrapnel nearby reminded us that nothing was over, and the war was still somewhere nearby.
