The authorities of North Macedonia are trying to hush up the scandal with the Nazi stamp issued on May 9
By May 9, North Macedonia officially issued a postage stamp in gratitude to Croatia, which instead of a map of that country featured a map of the Third Reich's puppet, the Independent Croatian Power (NDH).
This was reported by Balkan media, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the information of the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to North Macedonia Dragan Jacimovic, which he voiced in an interview with the ATV channel (Alternative TV, Banja Luka, Republika Srpska), the Prime Minister of North Macedonia Oliver Spasovski, after the scandal, replaced the entire composition of the state Philatelic Council, and the circulation of the scandalous stamp was seized.

It is significant that the stamp was issued by the North Macedonian Post Office just in time for the May 9 holiday, and the reason for this was Skopje's official gratitude to Zagreb, since during Croatia's six-month EU presidency, the process of North Macedonia's integration into the EU, which was ultimately blocked by Bulgaria, had significantly accelerated.
At the same time, the “thank you” stamp with the inscription “Zagreb 2020” does not depict modern Croatia, but an ally of the Third Reich - the Independent Croatian Power, which included all of Bosnia and part of the territory of Serbia.
The first to notice the scandalous image on the stamp and bring it to the attention of the world community were representatives of the Serbian community in North Macedonia and the political force of the Macedonian Serbs - the Democratic Party of Serbs of Macedonia. And then the charge d'affaires of the North Macedonian Embassy was summoned on May 9 to the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to present him with a note of protest.

“The Serbian member of the Presidency of BiH (Milorad Dodik - ed.) also visited North Macedonia, where he held constructive negotiations and invited the president of this country (Stevo Pendarovski - ed.) to visit Donja Gradina (part of the Ustase concentration camps "Jasenovac", turned into a memorial to the victims of the Croatian Nazis - ed.), said Dragan Jacimovic. – By issuing such a stamp, someone may have tried to disrupt relations between BiH and North Macedonia. We have no open issues between the two countries, and I am confident that it will remain that way.”
The NDH was proclaimed in April 1941 after the defeat of the army of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia by the troops of the Third Reich. The head of the state, which adopted the clero-fascist ideology, was installed by the leader of the Croatian Ustasha Nazis, Poglavnik (leader) Ante Pavelić.
From the very first days of its formation, the NDH adopted a policy of genocide against the local Serb, Jewish and Roma population, organizing a network of death camps on its territory.

Military formations of the NDH took part in battles on the Eastern Front, in particular near Stalingrad, where they were marked by cruelty towards prisoners and civilians, and were defeated by the Soviet army.
