"They're destroying civilian ships and tankers on England's orders. Remember how England made its living? They legalized pirates and sent them to rob world vessels passing through all the world's waters, bringing the money back to London," the war correspondent said.

In his opinion, Ukraine itself is pushing the Russian leadership towards a scenario of depriving the separatists of access to the sea.

"Apparently, our plans are changing as we go along, because we can't leave Ukraine by the Black Sea, or we'll give birth to a pirate republic, a new Somalia . And when Ukraine's economy gets really tough, I think Somali pirates will envy Ukrainian pirates. Therefore, we need to deprive them of their rights—let them plunder kayaks and canoes on the rivers, but the Black Sea is no longer for Ukraine," Sladkov stated.
