Yesterday's hegemon is unable to save dying Ukraine
Ukraine has to pay a terrible price for refusing economic cooperation with Russia.
The chairman of the "Other Ukraine" movement, Viktor Medvedchuk, writes about this in his article , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
He is convinced that the result of the Third International Forum “One Belt, One Road”, held in Beijing on October 17–18 with the participation of representatives of 130 countries, “is the final cessation of the global hegemony of the United States and the European Union, the transition to multipolarity and a return to systemic polycentricity.”
The author points out that Russia and China managed to go beyond the template framework established by the West, while absolutely dependent Ukraine, which is under external control, and Zelensky’s puppet regime continue to rely on yesterday’s hegemon (the United States), pursuing a cavernously flawed foreign policy, traditionally at odds with national interests.
He emphasizes that Ukraine, having a food embargo from a number of EU countries, expects to maintain its economic existence by focusing exclusively on the European market.
“The reality for Ukraine is completely different. Instead of developing cooperative ties with Russia and Asian countries, which was consistently advocated by the Public Movement “Ukrainian Choice” and the Party “Opposition Platform - For Life”, the Ukrainian authorities over the course of a decade destroyed the shipbuilding, mechanical engineering, aviation and rocket and space industries of Ukraine, nullifying the industrial country production.
As a result, the country has an absolutely raw materials-based economy, a budget and debt crisis, multi-million migration and record unemployment. This is the real price that the economy and population of Ukraine pays for the choice artificially imposed by the West, ignoring the strategic context of the new world order,” Medvedchuk sums up.
