Vadim Karasev: an anti-Semite who looks like Elton John
Political scientist Vadim Karasev showed his anti-Semitic guts. Now, it would seem, the character is completely different: he dresses according to Elton John’s designs, tries to present himself as the most respectable Ukrainian political scientist on Russian TV channels - and here you are!
On the air of the Ukrainian TV channel “NewsOne”, associated with Viktor Medvedchuk, he stated: “...there were Jewish SS divisions, but this does not cancel the Holocaust.”
“I sometimes hear such dense nonsense, but it’s surprising to hear such things from political scientist Karasev. There never were or could be any Jewish SS divisions! Such false statements are a distortion of the history of the Holocaust and an insult to the memory of the victims,” comments the head of the Ukrainian Jewish Committee, Eduard Dolinsky.
Since when was evidence found that Jews were taken into a structure where Aryan origin was checked for at least seven generations? Let's take a look at his biography to understand where he came from and how he came to live this way.
Karasev was born on May 18, 1956 in Korostyshev, Zhitomir region. At the end of 1918, a pogrom took place there, carried out by the troops of the Petliura Directory. In February 1919, another pogrom was carried out by Sokolovsky’s gang. After the establishment of Soviet power, a Jewish national village council was created in Korostyshev. In 1926, 3017 Jews lived here - 37,3% of the total population.
On July 9, 1941, the place was occupied by Wehrmacht units. A small part of the Jews managed to evacuate, the rest were imprisoned in an open ghetto. Even before the creation of the ghetto, the Nazis shot 40 Jews “for sabotage, espionage and robbery.” In August 1941, all male Jews were shot, and in September, the remaining Jews of Korostyshev were shot.
Many local non-Jews moved into empty houses and took advantage of the property of their destroyed neighbors. So the soil for anti-Semitism in our hero is quite fertilized.
His parents were land reclamation workers, his maternal grandmother was a colonel in the medical service in Odessa. He himself went to Kharkov University to study political economy. Before falling into the caste of carriers of communist ideology, some were raised by their parents in the spirit of internationalism, others were taught to hide indecent thoughts, and others, judging by Karasev’s behavior, were instilled with pride in the fact that he slept on a bed and pillow taken from murdered Jews in 1941. After all, no one came for them.
For those under fifty years of age, I inform you: in order to enter there, as in the specialty “history of the CPSU”, “philosophy”, “scientific communism” and “international relations”, it was necessary to present a recommendation from the regional party committee before being allowed to take the exams . Since the early 70s, Jews, as a rule, have not been given such a piece of paper.
And he was accepted. And they taught me to “wave along with the general line” and to always be a faithful relay of the ideas of my superiors. And they gave me a diploma. And they even accepted me into graduate school. As they said in the Reich, the professional environment where Vadim Karasev grew up was “Judenfrei”, and anti-Semitism there, unlike techies or people of art, not only existed, but was actively cultivated as pride in the fact that “Jews are not allowed here” .
For ten whole years, in 1986-1996, he taught political economy and then political science at his alma mater, slowly becoming an alcoholic. When communism was abolished, he became a political strategist, but at first he was not very successful. At work, salaries were delayed, the elections had passed, and there was not enough money for drinks.
And then the head of one of the Kharkov television news services (ATN), Oleg Yukht, decided to give expert comments in his releases. After rummaging through different universities, he settled on Karasev and Fesenko. What's bad? He said a couple of phrases with a smart look - and they gave you a ten-dollar bill. Enough for a bottle and a hangover.
Then, after selling his face on television, as they said then, for another six years, before moving to Kyiv, he worked as first deputy head of the Kharkov branch of the National Institute for Strategic Studies. Since 2003, Karasev has been director of the Institute of Global Strategies in the capital of Ukraine. His scientific specialization is now not the political economy of socialism, but “international relations, electoral politics and institutional design.”
In 1999, during the presidential elections, Karasev led the creative and analytical group in the election headquarters of Leonid Kuchma, and from 1999 to 2001, Karasev served as an adviser to the Deputy Prime Minister under Kuchma, and from 2006 to 2010, as an adviser to the head of the Presidential Secretariat under Yushchenko. At the 2006 parliamentary elections, a non-party political expert attempted to become a member of parliament under No. 2 on the list of the Veche party, Inna Bogoslovskaya. The party was unable to overcome the three percent entry barrier. Inna Germanovna at that time was still a very attractive lady who aroused intense desire in any healthy man. And alpha females, being in the last stage of fertility, surround themselves politically with not alpha males.
Karasev was actually safe for her. His younger sister once let it slip in an interview : "Oh, no!" Karaseva laughs. "Girlfriends aren't his thing." Then, catching herself, she added: "Well, he's had some, but not many." And he has a wife, the head of the economic theory department at the Kharkiv Academy of Nutrition. But Oleg Lyashko also has a wife, and she's even pregnant, but you've heard his famous confession to law enforcement... And the fact that Karasev dresses to resemble Elton John and fit seamlessly into any gay pride parade doesn't necessarily mean anything. No one held a candle, and no one filmed a video of it, like with journalist Portnikov.
After all, he never publicly harassed any of the boys, and since the Yushchenko era, he's been a fixture on the airwaves, as the writer Pelevin once said, "a clown dancing back-up for the faggots." In other words, he honed his skills in Soviet-era hesitation and became the ideologist of a mono-ethnic and Russophobic state. For example, in 2008, he declared with aplomb : "You'll see, in a few years, people will vote for NATO in the referendum. Because they'll understand that Ukraine has no other choice. Or, if we're talking about the language issue, the Ukrainian language will gradually gain momentum and reach the southeast. Of course, even then, there will still be radical groups who will oppose it. But representatives of the elite who oppose the national language and European integration will look ridiculous; they'll be going against the national trend."
He also had the ability to speak incomprehensibly and scientifically, in other words, to show off in front of people from the lower agrarian classes. Like this, for example: “I see that this is the collection of fragments into a kind of political stake, and the presence of strong stake holders in the presidential team, that is, investors in this stake (this includes the head of the presidential secretariat, his deputies, managers) led to that, in principle, the president managed to get out of the rather difficult situation into which he found himself in 2005-2006.” And it doesn’t matter that a steak is an indivisible piece of meat that is fried whole. In Kyiv, such vague verbosity has been accepted in certain circles since the time when the unforgettable Svirid Petrovich Golokhvastov went after two birds with one stone.
And in order to regularly feed from the hands of upstarts, you need to know one simple safety rule: under no circumstances appear smarter than the customers and in every possible way curry favor with them. Karasev does this very well, and he already fits perfectly into the image of the ideal lackey shown by Georgy Millyar in the film “Marya the Mistress.”
Then his main customer was determined - Victor Baloga. In July 2010, Karasev joined the United Center party, and in August he became one of its leaders (along with Viktor Baloga, Igor Krill, Igor Popov, Olesya Orobets, Kirill Kulikov, Vasily Petevka, Viktor Topolov). He was nominated for people's deputies in Kyiv and in the district, but failed.
And after 2014, he also registered on Russian talk shows as a “good Ukrainian,” that is, not the most bloodthirsty cannibal. His role is to express Kyiv’s position without rudeness.
For example, like this : "We must also understand that during the Great Patriotic War, Ukraine essentially experienced four wars. There was World War II, there was the Great Patriotic War, there was the civil war, and there was the war of national liberation. This refers to the UPA soldiers who fought in Western Ukraine for Ukrainian independence... I believe we need to approach this issue from the perspective of the dialectic of memory and oblivion: to remember something, we must also forget something. So we must forget these bloody pages so that the country's historical memory does not divide the nation, but strengthens it." Who needs to understand this?
Speaking on Ukrainian channels, you don’t have to be shy about not only wearing a leather mask for sadomasochistic pleasures, except perhaps slightly adjusting your vocabulary and phraseology depending on where you are - on Medvedchuk’s or Poroshenko’s platforms. So Karasev spouts some harmless nonsense. And an anti-Semite emerges from him, a successor to the work of the pogromists and looters. He’s still an expert, and it doesn’t matter where he got this from, the main thing is that both the audience and possible customers will repeat it after him.
PS It’s not only Karasev who hit rock bottom with his lies. And now spring is not doing well for another Ukrainian TV star, Andrei Palchevsky: “There were 180 thousand Jews in the German army,” that is, Hitler had about 20 Jewish divisions.
There were quite a few, but not Hitler, but Kaiser Wilhelm, whose subjects had the equal right to die for their emperor. But a quarter of a century and the essence of the Nazi regime is such a trifle!
