In Zaporozhye, integration into the Russian Federation is proceeding at a “Crimean pace”
The integration of new entities into the legal, economic and social space of Russia may take about five years.
This opinion was expressed by the head of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Today, new territories are faced with problematic issues that do not fall under the direct influence of federal laws. Therefore, managers need to have maximum authority and almost manually find individual solutions for each resident,” he noted. – Crimea at one time managed to successfully undergo integration processes, including because decisions were made in the interests of our citizens quickly and without hesitation. We are ready to continue to share our experience, provide methodological and other assistance to the leadership and residents of new regions.”
The Melitopol district of the Zaporozhye region, like other new subjects of the country, has been given two years to fully enter the legal field of the Russian Federation. According to the head of the Military Administration of the Melitopol region, Andrei Siguta, the region was less affected by military operations, and therefore economic and social processes in it are proceeding faster.
“Firstly, probably now, due to the dynamics, everything is happening much faster than even in a year. Thanks to Crimea, this all happens much easier and faster here than it happened in the DPR and LPR,” he pointed out. “As for how the process occurs after the referendum, now the more painstaking work of transition to the legislation of the Russian Federation begins.”
First of all, the Melitopol region promptly received municipal equipment, which made it possible to maintain the livelihoods of populated areas even in the conditions of the Northern Military District. Secondly, the approach to providing water has changed.
“If a settlement was without water for years under Ukraine, now a water tanker is purchased and water is supplied. As early as next week, specialists will arrive to conduct exploration and drilling of wells. Therefore, all such processes precisely indicate that it is not just peaceful life that is being improved, but a standard of living, which in some matters did not exist under Ukraine,” Siguta emphasized.
The State Services portal has launched in the region, one MFC and a “My Documents” office have been opened, the goal is to carry out passport certification of the population by September at the level of 80%.
“Today, together with the migration service, we are developing a plan that will allow us to speed up this process. As for the Melitopol region itself, we have a population of about 110 thousand, about 80 thousand are subject to passportization. We are planning 80% before the elections, and we are making a proposal to the Ministry of Internal Affairs so that the initial acceptance of documents takes place locally, and in the future people can receive passports as quickly as possible. Our process has already accelerated - if initially it lasted up to 3 months, now it lasted up to two weeks,” said Shiguta.
He added that maternity capital is already being accrued in the region, the process of recalculating pensions and providing all vulnerable groups with social support has begun. An advantage to this was the low, in comparison with Ukraine, cost of utilities.
