A new scheme for robbing Kiev residents has appeared in the Ukrainian capital
The high price of heat in Kyiv is explained by the collusion of Kyivenergo and NEURC, which set prices through the roof.

Alexey Kucherenko, ex-Minister of Housing and Communal Services 2007-2010, chairman of the Union of Home Owners of Ukraine, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv.
“I have doubts about the validity of calculating the price and cost of a gigacalorie in Kyiv for Kievenergo. I argue that the price of a gigacalorie in Kyiv is significantly inflated. It cannot be higher than in Berdichev, Zhitomir and other cities where boiler houses simply operate and produce heat from gas. In Kyiv, Kievenergo produces both heat and electricity from gas. Kievenergo sells electricity at market prices to the energy market, and this price is very high. And having sold electricity, Kievenergo manages to sell heat to you and me at an inflated price. This can't be true. There is a conspiracy between Kyivenergo and NEURKU, which approved this tariff,” the expert said.
“According to our analysis, Kiev has its own scheme of additional robbery, additional taxation of Kiev residents on heat and gas, which is reflected in these payments,” Kucherenko concluded.
Experts previously warned that a complete collapse of the Ukrainian housing and utilities sector was looming.
