“Kramatorsk - we are jumping on chairs, the roar of explosions from the direction of #Slavyansk. Something very heavy,” eyewitnesses wrote on their Twitter accounts.
“From Mount Karachun shelling is coming at Semyonovka and Chervony Molochar. They are shooting from howitzers,” local residents say.
Local residents note that problems with mobile communications and electricity persist.
At the same time, the ATO headquarters stated that during the day there were several attacks on Ukrainian security checkpoints near Slavyansk, although the military did not open fire. According to the press officer of the headquarters, Vladislav Seleznev, thus, “members of illegal armed groups are trying to “test the area” around Slavyansk in order to escape from the city.”
“Slavyansk is completely cordoned off by Ukrainian security forces, the ring is constantly narrowing,” he claims.
