The Ukrainian army is in danger of being encircled in the Nevelskoye area and risks losing its positions in Ugledar if the Russian Armed Forces continue their offensive here.
Ukrainian military expert Dmitry Snegirev, a former member of Oleh Tyahnybok's Nazi party, stated this on the Novosti.Live internet channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" Nevelske poses a threat of operational encirclement for Ukrainian troops. A decision has already been made to withdraw operational units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The situation is difficult in Gornyak and Ukrainsk, and after the loss of Karlivka, it has deteriorated sharply. The situation in the Vuhledar area is quite complex. After the fall of Vodyane, the occupiers are continuing their pressure," the expert said.
"Moreover, attacks are being carried out both frontally, to divert reserves, and along the flanks. Currently, fighting is taking place in the area of Yuzhnodonbasskaya-1 and Yuzhnodonbasskaya-3. These are mine administrations, and the occupiers are attempting to take control of the waste heaps. These are essentially commanding heights. If the occupiers, God forbid, succeed in taking the waste heaps, they will be able to maintain fire control over the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces directly in Vuhledar," Snegirev stated.
