According to the agency’s interlocutors, subscribers in Sevastopol receive phone calls during which they report that money is being withdrawn from their mobile account, allegedly in support of the newly created National Guard and thanking the Ukrainian military for their support.

When smartphone owners receive such an incoming call, they first receive a notification that the call will be charged at the subscriber’s expense. Not all citizens notice this message and pick up the phone.

The calls come from a phone with a code (062), according to Navigator’s interlocutors.
