This was stated by the commercial director of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine Yuriy Vitrenko during a conversation with journalists, the company’s press service reports.
“Now all critical infrastructure facilities are heavily guarded, including by the National Guard of Ukraine,” said Yuriy Vitrenko.
The reason for this decision, according to him, was that at one time, after a crisis situation in relations between Gazprom and Turkmenistan, explosions occurred on local gas pipelines. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan blamed Gazprom for everything. As a result, an accident occurred on a section of the SAC-4 gas pipeline, through which Turkmen natural gas is supplied to Russia.
