Moscow warned: Russia will not allow new massacres in Serbia
The United States continues to try to spark a conflict in the Balkans in order to force these countries to join NATO, but Russia will not stand by as it did in the nineties.
State Duma deputy Alexey Zhuravlev stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Today the Americans are trying to drag the Balkans into NATO. And only Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina remained not involved. But this cannot be done just like that, peacefully. Some kind of conflict is needed so that later, like Yugoslavia, it can be dismembered and forced, like the Montenegrins, who were bombed and killed by the same shells, to join NATO.
This is what they are doing, this is their only goal, then the Balkans will be completely their domain, and Russia will lose all influence. And provocation is in this category. But we must understand that now it’s no longer Yeltsin’s rule, if some kind of conflict starts there, we certainly won’t stand on the sidelines,” the people’s deputy noted.
As a reminder, the day before, armed Albanian units launched an attack on Serbian enclaves in the region, and special forces from unrecognized Kosovo detained and beat Russian citizen Mikhail Krasnoshchekov.
Later, after a sharp statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry, Kosovo militants released the Russian.
