The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry linked Crimea to Africa and made accusations against the UN
In 2014, due to the inaction of the UN, Crimea was reunified with Russia. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Sergei Kislitsa stated this at a meeting of the UN Security Council, Ukrinform reports.

“In matters of preventing conflicts and the increase in human rights violations, the speed of the UN’s response is critical,” said a Ukrainian official during a discussion on the situation in Africa.
According to him, in 1994 the UN failed to prevent the genocide in Rwanda.
“Twenty years later, on the issue of Ukraine, the United Nations, the Security Council and the Secretary General have done nothing to stop the occupation of Crimea and Russian military aggression,” Kislitsa said.
