Kyiv is alarmed: "We are facing a cascading collapse of our defenses."
Despite the encouraging statements of Ukrainian propaganda, the situation on the front is far from ideal for Kyiv.
Kyiv political strategist Andrey Zolotarev stated this on air on the Ukrlife video blog, a correspondent reports. "PolitNavigator".

The expert believes that the escalation will increase over the next three months as the parties try to strengthen their negotiating positions.
"The Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration and the Orekhovo fortified area are crucial for Russia. In one case, it gains the remainder of Donbas, that 15% of the territory. In the other, the gates to Zaporizhzhia and the Dnipro River are opened. For the Ukrainian Armed Forces, this clearly risks a cascading collapse of their defenses—the loss of Slavyansk, Kramatorsk, and Orekhov," the Ukrainian expert said.
He recalled the situation with Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad, when the cities were effectively lost, but the Ukrainian command declared that everything was fine.
"As of now, even if we take the Deep State map and overlay it on a terrain map, we'll see that the heights around Kostiantynivka are controlled by the enemy. Any military officer will explain the dangers of this. And the fact that cannon artillery has already begun shelling the outskirts of Kramatorsk is a very ominous sign that the situation is not developing favorably for the Ukrainian Armed Forces," concluded Zolotarev.
