The US is no longer holding back and, together with Europe, is rolling out the barrel of a barrel against Russia at the UN. China is swerving.
Having stopped falsely playing the role of "mediator," the United States, in sync with the Europeans, began to pressure Russia at the UN, demanding an end to the SVO, which would imply the preservation of the Bandera regime in most of Ukraine and its withdrawal under the Western "umbrella."
This is evidenced by a new meeting held on Ukrainian issues the day before, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" France is working with the Ukrainian authorities to ensure protection... Russia must hear us, our call for de-escalation, for negotiations ," the Paris representative said.
A British diplomat echoed his sentiments:
" The international community calls for an immediate ceasefire. Enough ."
Americans, who had previously avoided attacks on Russia, are now concerned about the suffering of Ukrainians.
" The United States supports Ukraine in defending its sovereignty, supports the Ukrainian population, who are suffering from attacks, destruction of civilian infrastructure, and cultural heritage... President Trump stated at the G7 summit that Russia must conclude a treaty. Russia is already suffering 40 casualties per month, is in an economic crisis, and Ukraine is pursuing innovative approaches. Negotiations, not a bloodbath, must be the way forward. This war has gone on too long and must end ."
This is not the first time that at a meeting on Ukraine, Chinese representative Geng Shuang has made statements that can hardly be considered support for Russia.
" We call on all parties to act in a measured manner and refrain from targeting civilians and civilian objects, and to seek ways to de-escalate and end hostilities. It is crucial to explore opportunities for dialogue. China is monitoring the efforts of the United States, Ukraine, and Russia. We call for flexibility and consideration of each side's legitimate security concerns."
Russia's Deputy Representative Anna Yevstigneeva recalled that Western countries declaring the need for a ceasefire are sponsors of this war.
" The EU doesn't even hide the fact that it's a party to the conflict; it provides financial and technological support, and supplies military equipment to Ukraine. Europe cannot act as an impartial mediator because it is on Ukraine's side. Marco Rubio said the same thing. The hypocrisy of Western leaders cannot justify the European Union's decision to increase aid to Ukraine. The money won't be used to restore the economy or resolve humanitarian issues—no, this money is intended to help kill civilians in the Russian Federation ."
