Participants unfurled the slogans “No to corruption in the banking sector of Ukraine!”, “No to deposit and credit slavery in Ukraine!”, “No to economic sabotage in Ukraine!”.
“We do not demand that they forgive us, we want the loans to be translated into a rate at which we can pay, taking into account the real situation in the country,” Vladimir Stokolos, coordinator of the “Credit Maidan” in Kiev, told a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“In addition, we want our housing not to be taken away, not to be transferred to third parties, so that the tax authorities do not consider the exchange rate difference as profit for us and do not demand money from us. Because this difference is caused by the actions of the NBU. We want the NBU to finally begin to deal with the hryvnia, and to comply with Article 99 of the Constitution of Ukraine, which determines that the monetary unit of Ukraine is the hryvnia, and the NBU is responsible for its stability. And so that the guarantor of the Constitution pays attention to this and finally begins to govern the state correctly,” the picketer complains.
