In Kyiv, the Ministry of Health picketed against corruption, drugs and rising prices for medicines (PHOTO)
Kyiv, April 29 (Navigator, Vladimir Mikhailov) – An initiative group of citizens held a picket at the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Activists protested against rising drug prices, caused, in particular, by the introduction of a 7% VAT on drugs and medical products. The picketers also expressed outrage at the lack of control over the sale of drugs containing drugs, in particular codeine.

At the same time, representatives of Automaidan continue their protest against corruption at the Ministry of Health. “To overcome the problems with rising prices for medicines and the uncontrolled release of drugs containing drugs, we must first defeat corruption in the Ministry of Health, and, in particular, fire everyone involved in corruption schemes,” one of the representatives of Automaidan told a Navigator correspondent.
Let us recall that recently the Minister of Health Oleg Musiy said that he had given instructions to the Health Administration and the State Medical Service on strict control over the dispensing of drugs containing codeine according to prescriptions. However, codeine can still be freely purchased in pharmacies in Ukraine.
