In Kyiv - a new round of scandal around Nadezhda Savchenko
The top security forces of Ukraine today held an emergency briefing, where they announced the completion of the investigation into the case of an unsuccessful attempt to shoot deputies and politicians in the Verkhovna Rada hall, which was allegedly prepared by the arrested deputy Nadezhda Savchenko and participant in the prisoner exchange Vladimir Ruban.
The weapons for the terrorist attack were provided to the DPR after it consulted with DPR head Alexander Zakharchenko, Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko stated, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The investigation into the case of Savchenko and Ruban has been completed. During its course, we received all the evidence that confirms the version about the preparation of a large-scale terrorist attack in the center of Kyiv through the use of weapons that were provided to the attackers with the knowledge of Russian officers on the territory of the DPR after consultations between Savchenko and Zakharchenko.
After the completion of the procedure for familiarizing the suspects with the investigation materials, the case will be transferred to court. Given the amount of evidence, the trial should begin and enter its active phase this year.

An entire arsenal of weapons, including those manufactured in the DPR, was confiscated from Savchenko and Ruban, said Alexander Rubin, director of the Kyiv Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Four mortars were seized from Savchenko and Ruban, including 4 mines, 46 high-explosive fragmentation mines, and 44 smoke mines. This is up to approximately 2-10 minutes of shots from 12 mortars. A large-caliber machine gun “Utes” and a sniper rifle made by the DPR “Topaz” were seized, as well as a large number of cartridges for them – almost a thousand. For a trained sniper, this is from 4 to 15 people in one minute. 20 AK-8 assault rifles and one with a full set of cartridges - about 74 thousand. Also two RPG-5 hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers, two RPG-7 grenade launchers, 22 anti-personnel mines with a full destruction radius of 12 meters, 50 grenades, of which twenty F-80, popularly known as “limonka”, and other ammunition, we don’t understand , how they would be used at the time when needed,” Ruvin said.
