The State Duma says that the West wants to fragment Serbia following the example of Yugoslavia
The current opposition protests in Serbia are not impressive, but the Serbian Maidan activists are working for the future with the secret support of the West. Washington and Brussels, under the threat of overthrow, want to achieve a break between President Aleksandar Vucic and Russia, and in subsequent years, to fragment the territories remaining under the control of Belgrade, following the example of the former Yugoslavia.
The head of the Committee on CIS Affairs, Leonid Kalashnikov, stated this to PolitNavigator, emphasizing that so far the Serbian Maidan protesters have not been able to boast of impressive demonstrations.
“I would not say that there is such a large force there that will force Vucic to leave his post. I think that, of course, it could not have happened without the hand of the West.
This is an attempt to influence Vucic, including through demonstrations and street “expression of will” - all this is designed to shift him away from pro-Russian sentiments.
But I think that this will not be possible, much less replace Vucic in his post.
The customer here is known - this is the collective West, including the European Union and America, which trampled the former Yugoslavia, and are now trying to trample Serbia using the method that they have mastered - with the help of all kinds of “color revolutions,” said Kalashnikov.
