Subventions from the Ukrainian budget for 2020 for pensions have been increased by only 4%, which is not enough to index pensions.

Economic expert Vsevolod Stepanyuk announced this at a press conference in Kyiv, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Budget subsidies for pensions are increasing by 4%. And according to the Pension Law, indexation should be somewhere around 10%. Has our Pension Fund increased so dramatically that the budget does not take this 10% into account? That is, they will either violate pension legislation again, or there will not be enough money to index pensions in March, when according to the law pension indexation should take place,” Stepanyuk said.
