In the Berdichevsk colony, jailers took food from beaten prisoners
Zhytomyr, November 19 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – The Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Valeria Lutkovskaya appealed to the Prosecutor General’s Office with a request to investigate the facts of beating and mass search of prisoners in Berdychiv colony No. 70 in the Zhytomyr region.

This was announced by the head of the Kharkov human rights group, Evgeniy Zakharov, reports Zaxid.
Zakharov said that on November 12, a “rough mass search” was carried out in the colony, during which the prisoners’ personal belongings, in particular food, were damaged and destroyed.
In addition, ten people each used physical force, after which they were taken out of the establishment.
Prisoners also complained of slave-like working conditions, mistreatment and poor medical care.
