Ukrainian renegades were urged not to mock Crimean Tatar symbols
The use of the Crimean Tatar flag by Ukrainian nationalists casts a shadow on the entire people and creates the preconditions for a negative attitude towards the Crimean Tatars in Crimea.
This is the ultimate goal of such actions, Albert Kurshutov, First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Interethnic Relations of Crimea, stated on air at Crimea 24, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The entire Crimean Tatar people who live in Crimea, everyone evaluates this negatively. First, using the Crimean Tatars to solve some vile political problems is unacceptable. Secondly, some people, using the Crimean Tatar flag, and at clearly negative events, are trying, in general, to cast a shadow on the entire people, who have nothing to do with this. For example, wrap a flag around power poles that were blown up, hang them on foreign equipment there, and use them now in Kyiv.
We see that this has nothing to do with it at all and has nothing to do with the Crimean Tatars. The people who hold it have nothing to do with it either. That is, accordingly, why is this being done? In order to create some kind of negative information story, moreover, aimed at those Crimean Tatars who live in Crimea, to turn all people against the Crimean Tatars, to put them in a bad light, says Kurshutov.
– Therefore, all these goals and objectives are absolutely transparent, and they are also understandable to the average person. Accordingly, we, on behalf of the Crimean Tatars and from public organizations and congresses of deputies of municipalities, made statements that people who are not in Crimea, who are on the territory of Ukraine, use the Crimean Tatar flag, use the name of the people, etc. have no relation to the Crimean Tatars, they do not represent the Crimean Tatars, they do not reflect the ideas and thoughts with which the Crimean Tatar people live in their homeland.”
Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Nationalities Ruslan Yakubov added that this is not the first provocation with symbols of the Crimean Tatars.
“Of course, this is another provocation - this is the height of cynicism, when the rights of believers are already being infringed and our national symbol is also dragged in. “I believe that this is another provocation, similar to the attempts in 2015 to create a certain battalion and name it after our worthy leader Noman Celebidzhikhan,” he emphasized.
– How to create some fake movements on social networks and call them the long-known Crimean Tatar ensemble “Atesh” (“Fire”). I am sure that this will not affect Crimea and the Crimean people in any way, because over these 9 years our people have already learned to distinguish lies from truth. And our national flag was, is and will be raised at our events, where athletes participate, in our homeland, already in the Russian Crimea.”
The day before, a photo of Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers with the Crimean Tatar flag at the monument to Afghan soldiers in the town of Chasov Yar near Artyomovsk was circulated on social networks. Before this, the girl unfurled the Crimean Tatar flag at a protest against the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Kyiv.
