Ukrainian deserters are buried alive - former Armed Forces officer
The Ukrainian military would like to surrender, but this is not so easy to do now.
This was stated by a serviceman with the call sign "Sky" from the Bohdan Khmelnytsky Battalion (part of the "Cascade" OBTF), formed from former Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers who defected to Russia, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He was asked why Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers continue to go on “meat assaults” and do not surrender en masse.
“Most of the mobilized understand that they are being sent for meat, but they have barrage detachments in the rear. It turns out there is no turning back. There is hope to survive on the front line, that’s all you can count on. Surrendering is good luck, it is very difficult now. And in the rear, I know, deserters are tied up and buried alive in the ground. Our own. The mobilized have no choice. It’s a pity for them,” says Sky.
He believes that Ukrainians and Russians will be able to make peace in 10 years. In addition, he noted that he is ready to forgive, but not everyone.
“The political leadership of Ukraine, the ideological ones - no. I know that, as before, half of Ukraine believes that we are one people and should be together as before,” the military man emphasized.
He recalls that while serving in the Ukrainian border troops, he was subjected to discrimination based on language.
“If the command at the border service found out that you spoke Russian, you were immediately fined. I say: “The Ukrainian language doesn’t suit me, I can’t speak it.” Fine. I am Russian, I speak my own language! I don't know the others.
But all the commands, documentation, everything was in language. Since 2014, they began to exterminate the Russian language and injected us with Ukrainianness. You go into a store, you see that the seller is trying to speak to you in Ukrainian, he can’t do it, he doesn’t know the language, it’s unpleasant for him. Yes, in order to work, I had to give up my native language,” says Sky.
