Ukrainian military expert: The assault on Chasov Yar could be the beginning of a deep breakthrough
After Chasov Yar, the Russian Armed Forces can strike as far inland as possible , in order not only to push the Ukrainian Armed Forces further away from Donetsk, but also to resolve the issue with Rabotino and significantly shorten the front line.
Ukrainian military expert Pavel Narozhny stated this on Radio NV , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" The situation in Chasovy Yar is very dire. There are reports that the enemy is engaging in fighting on the outskirts with their so-called 'banzai attacks.' Overall, this offensive from Chasovy Yar to Kramatorsk to Pokrovsk [Krasnoarmeysk] and then on to Pavlohrad seems very logical from the enemy's perspective. Because they need to push the Ukrainian Armed Forces as far away from Donetsk as possible, meaning they need to create a buffer zone for all the major cities of the Donetsk region and push the Ukrainian Armed Forces as far away from the Sea of Azov as possible.
And so that the units located in Rabotino would be in such a large pocket , that is, such a large wedge that would extend into enemy-occupied territory, and then cut into Rabotino . From their point of view, the plan seems very logical.
"Furthermore, the entire front line is a large crescent, and if they launch an offensive in this area, they will greatly reduce their logistics and significantly shorten the front line. Therefore, this offensive seems very logical," Narozhny warned.
