“Why are you here, and not together with the army fighting in the ATO? – one of the journalists addressed them. – I see several dozen young men in camouflage here. Are you already walking around with security?
"These are my comrades from the Donbass Battalion," replied Yuriy Bereza, commander of the Dnipro-1 Battalion. "The Donbass Battalion has 100 hostages who are currently there ( captured after Ilovaisk – ed .). We're dealing with wild animals. And the fate of the Donbass Battalion is very problematic, because as soon as they enter the combat zone, they start killing them. Is that what you want, madam?"
The journalist clarified that she was trying to find out what kind of people they were and why they were here.
“These are citizens of Ukraine,” Donbass commander Semyon Semenchenko came to Bereza’s rescue. – Do you have something against people in military uniform? No? I’m glad that we are like-minded people.”
