Ukraine better not anger Lukashenko – Pogrebinsky
Ukraine is “running ahead of the locomotive” with its sanctions against Belarus, while Minsk’s response to Kyiv may be very sensitive.
Mikhail Pogrebinsky, director of the Kyiv Center for Political Research and Conflictology, announced this on the air of the 112 Ukraine TV channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“What happened in the skies over Belarus is unlikely to please any sane person. But in general, these are problems of Belarus itself, certainly not of Ukraine. To briefly describe what happened... what is allowed to Jupiter is not allowed to the bull. But Lukashenko, apparently, does not really believe in this truth. The Americans allowed themselves to do this, even Ukraine allowed themselves to do this. This can be forgiven for “our” guys, but not for Lukashenko. That's why all this hysteria.
But the decisions that Ukraine makes must be dictated by Ukrainian national interests. How can this end for Ukraine? Not to mention the fact that thousands of Ukrainian citizens flew in transit through Belarus to Moscow and Russia in general, in order to work there, to visit their relatives, and so on. Now there is no such possibility; they will fly through Istanbul. Thousands of people will suffer.
As for the Ukrainian economy, I am afraid that Lukashenko will continue to act the way he acted in response to the insult to the Belarusian flag - he expelled the entire Latvian diplomatic department if he believes that Ukraine is behaving the same way. If Lukashenko gets seriously angry and says, “That’s it, we don’t supply a single gram of fuel to Ukraine,” I’ll see what Ukrainian agriculture will do. Of course, Ukraine is running ahead of the locomotive, even the Americans have not yet made such a decision, Ukraine has already made it,” Pogrebinsky said.
