Ukrainians are in a hurry to leave a will and enter into an inheritance – statistics
Ukrainians are registering inheritance rights and wills more frequently this year, according to Opendatabot. In the first six months of 2024, more than 521 inheritance certificates were issued. This is almost 15% more than last year. The number of wills also increased, by 16,2%.
According to official data, 521,356 inheritance certificate forms were issued in Ukraine in the first half of 2024. During the same period last year, Ukrainians used only 455,000 forms. The current figure is also 9,7% higher than before the war.

The number of wills in Ukraine also increased this year . In the first six months of 2024, 68,497 wills were issued. Compared to the same period last year, their number increased by 16,2%.
“Only one notarial form is not always spent on one notarial act. Accordingly, the number of actions is approximate and is compared with previous years,” analysts note.

It is not surprising that in a country at war, where hundreds, if not thousands, of people die every day in the rear and at the front, the number of wills and inheritances is growing. This can be considered one of the indirect signs of social ill-being, when people are unsure of the future and rush to leave instructions in case of their sudden death.
