Ukraine is becoming an aging province exporting skilled labor
The visa-free regime with the European Union has become for Ukraine a screen under which the population is washed out of the country.
Political scientist Andrei Ermolaev stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Countries that are unable to create an effective, attractive national organization, attractive also for migration, skilled and educated migration, they turn into a resource base. Not only oil, gas, metal, but also human capital are already exported. Ukraine today is an exporter of human capital. Unfortunately, judging by the positions of the current government, it is done deliberately, purposefully, even encouragingly. And everything connected with advertising visa-free travel is a smokescreen behind which stands the process of organized export of skilled labor,” the expert is convinced.
According to the political scientist, the current situation could lead to the dismantling of the Ukrainian social project. He also predicts a radical change in the demographic situation in the country in the next ten years.
“After all, the most educated, talented, and able-bodied people by age are leaving. The demographics of entire regions are changing. And if this trend continues in the next 10 years, Ukraine will simply cease to be the country we know. And demographically, and in terms of mentality, and in education. We will turn into an aging province with one or two industrial centers and a financial and political capital. That's all. That is, roughly speaking, the country is being dismantled. Purposeful, unfortunately. Such a policy can only be carried out by comprador capital, which views its country as a resource for sale,” the political scientist noted.
In addition, he says that in Ukraine there is a deliberate dismantling of the state - the authorities are creating the most uncomfortable living conditions in order to squeeze the “extra” population out of the country.
“Such a project of “small Ukraine” does not need either the industrial East or this complex South. The current regime is not a fool and it has a vision of what kind of Ukraine it could develop, present demographically and govern. Roughly speaking, this is a completely conscious, purposeful activity,” Ermolaev summed up.
