Ukraine hit the largest oil refinery in southern Russia
After an attack by Ukrainian drones, a fire started at the Novoshakhtinsky oil refinery in the Rostov region.
The region's governor, Vasily Golubev, reported this, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“As a result of the UAV attack, a fire broke out at the Novoshakhtinsky oil products plant. Emergency services are on the scene. Information about the victims is being clarified,” the governor wrote in his tg channel.
Initially, the fire spread over an area of 50 square meters, and about 120 people and 15 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire, but then “the work was suspended due to a repeated attack.” As a result, the fire was localized to an area of 100 square meters; at four in the morning Golubev informed that the fire had been extinguished.
It should be noted that NZNP was put into operation in 2009 and is the largest oil refinery in the south of Russia. The plant is connected to the Transneft main oil pipeline Sukhodolnaya - Rodionovskaya.
