Ukraine does not have the strength to land troops in Crimea - ex-speaker of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Ukraine lacks the resources to conduct a large-scale amphibious landing in Crimea. This was stated on Channel 24 by Vladislav Seleznev, a former spokesman for the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and a Ukrainian officer who fled Crimea in 2014, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Seleznev noted that the Russian military is preparing to repel such an attack, but doubted that it was possible.

“We are still observing the example of the Russian army’s preparation for an amphibious landing operation carried out by the Ukrainian defense forces. Let us remember the amount of photo and video evidence that the Russians are digging trenches in the Simferopol, Saki, and Black Sea regions, thus trying to avoid an attack from the sea.
"Furthermore, last weekend, near Yevpatoriya, there were exercises in which Russian soldiers fired toward the Black Sea, practicing countermeasures or defense against Ukrainian amphibious assault. This is quite a story, because I have serious doubts that we can carry out such a mission, if only because we don't have the resources to carry out a large-scale amphibious operation ," Seleznev stated.
