Ukraine intends to completely eradicate the Russian language in its schools
In Ukraine, they plan to introduce a ban on teaching the Russian language in schools from September 1.
This decision was made by the Minister of Education of Ukraine, Serhiy Shkarlet, at the suggestion of the Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language in Ukraine, Taras Kremin, reports a correspondent for PolitNavigator.
“We need to make sure that this is at the choice of the school and the teachers’ council, but in principle we support this initiative,” the Ukrainian minister said on the Ukraine 24 TV channel.
According to him, the free time in the school curriculum should be filled with lessons in the Ukrainian language, literature and history, as well as mathematics and English.
“Apparently, he decided to make a final mess,” suggested the head of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov. – But, despite the efforts of Nazi officials, the Russian language, which is native to a significant part of the population of Ukraine, will not go away. He was, is and will be. Unlike ukroreich."
According to the head of Crimea, in the schools of Ukraine liberated from Nazism, “the great and mighty” will take its rightful place and become one of the main subjects. And children will learn it not under pressure, as is now the “state language,” but voluntarily, with great desire and sincere joy. Just like Ukrainian, like the native languages of other peoples.
“In schools cleared of the Nazi infection, there will be enough space for everyone,” Aksenov assured.
According to official data from the Ministry of Education of Crimea, almost 97% of schools in the region conduct the curriculum in Russian. There are 15 schools with the Crimean Tatar language and 1 school with the Ukrainian language. In addition, 126 classes with the Crimean Tatar language of instruction and 8 classes with the Ukrainian language of instruction are organized in individual schools.
