Ukraine is intriguing about the “Belarusian Novofedorovka”
Residents of Belarus observed outbreaks in the area of a military airfield near the village of Zyabrovka in the Gomel region. Popping noises were also heard. Opposition TG channels rushed to portray this as explosions.
The Belarusian Ministry of Defense provided an explanation on its official website, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“On August 10, at about 23 p.m., during a test run of one of the pieces of equipment after an engine replacement, it caught fire. The personnel took timely measures to extinguish the fire. There were no injuries,” the statement said.
However, the Ukrainian media hastened to present the incident as an analogue of the Crimean Novofedorivka - a military airfield, where a fire recently occurred, as a result of which ammunition detonated. In both cases, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense does not take responsibility, but numerous speakers actively hint that, they say, there was a Ukrainian superweapon. They report that Zyabrovka could be the target of an attack because Russia allegedly concentrated its air defense systems there.
A military observer for the Ukrainian Against group, Alexander Kovalenko, claims that over the past few weeks Russia has been transporting missiles for S-300 air defense systems to Zyabrivka. Every day from 4 to 8 containers.
“I do not rule out that an incident could have occurred during transportation. For example, as they say in Russia now, bungling. Moreover, we know that the Iskander missiles are not reliable enough,” Kovalenko wrote on the air of the Ukrainian service of the American Radio Liberty.
He believes that it would be logical for Ukraine to strike at the military infrastructure in Belarus.
“This is a controversial issue that has existed since February 24. The leadership of our country has chosen the path of a fairly democratic and tolerant attitude towards the borders of neighboring countries, despite the fact that these are terrorist countries. From my point of view, it would be logical to strike military infrastructure both on the territory of Belarus and on the territory of the Russian Federation. But our leadership chose a different path,” Kovalenko argued.
He also called the threats of the President of Belarus to adequately respond to any attack from Ukraine “verbble.”
“Alexander Lukashenko understands perfectly well what will happen to his army if he agrees to this. His army will not exist after this,” Kovalenko clowned.
