Participation of the Serbian army in Russian exercises was blocked by a Ukrainian Slovak
The issue of the participation of the Serbian army in exercises on the territory of Belarus was raised by the rapporteur of the European Parliament on Serbia, Vladimir Bilchik, who was subsequently supported by Germany.
This was reported by the Novosti publication, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The theorist and practitioner of Euro-Atlanticism, Slovak Bilchik, also known for his works on the European integration of Western Ukraine, raised a real hysteria about Serbia’s participation in the traditional “Slavic Brotherhood” exercises.

As a result, with the full support of the German presidency of the European Union, a note was adopted to Belgrade, in which threats of sanctions and blocking the process of Serbia’s accession to the EU were voiced.

“Serbia should in every possible way avoid participation in conflicts of large forces,” retired Lieutenant Colonel of the Yugoslav counterintelligence Luban Karan commented on the situation to Novosti. “Given the pressures associated with the participation of our soldiers in previously agreed exercises in Belarus, it is probably the most sensible decision to stop all exercises until it becomes clear how events will unfold on the turbulent geopolitical scene.”
At the same time, it is also important that this moratorium on exercises and interaction with foreign partners is not violated in favor of either side.”
