Russia is in no hurry to push Ukrainian troops out of the Kursk region, because it knows that the Ukrainian Armed Forces here have problems with logistics and operational resources. In the meantime, it is creating a group of troops and an air strike complex in the Kursk direction.
Military expert and retired SBU colonel Oleg Starikov stated this on the Politeka video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Imagine the logistics - 10-15 kilometers are separated from the main parts. As an example, so that you understand, yes, you can refuel with diesel at a gas station - come, refuel, it’s possible. Well, you can get food there, but where will you get ammunition? He needs a ride. Secondly, it turns out that there are wounded and killed during the battles; you can’t carry them around in such heat in cars, dead in bags. Can you imagine what it is, it needs to be evacuated. And they pulled away by 10-15 kilometers,” said the colonel.
"That's why the enemy knows this and is in no hurry to deploy a group. They've already formed 10 battalions, recruiting from other units, newly formed ones, those withdrawn. Right now, it's a hodgepodge, now they'll set up a headquarters. They're in no hurry because they understand we lack operational resources. The danger is that they control everything from the air, our movements; they simply haven't yet created an air strike complex. They're currently setting it up; they haven't created it yet ," Starikov stated.
