Three in a week: “Russian saboteurs” continue to be caught in Kyiv
In Kyiv, the “witch hunt” and the detention of local residents on suspicion of “sabotage activities” continue.
As Alexey Gromov, Deputy Chief of the Main Operations Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said during the meeting, over the past week three poor fellows were detained in the Ukrainian capital, two of whom were guilty only of taking photographs of the Kiev train station to their misfortune.

“In Kyiv they continue to identify suspicious persons who may be involved in sabotage work. According to our information, over the past week, two citizens of Ukraine were detained; when checking their mobile phones, photographs were found showing the railway infrastructure of Kyiv,” Gromov said.
In the Shevchenkovsky district of Kyiv, patrol officers detained a woman who had photos of a checkpoint on her phone.
In the Obolonsky district, a man was detained who was found to have a photo of the deployment of military equipment, positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and other components of the defense forces. The detainee was also accused of allegedly making calls to numbers with codes of Russian telecom operators.
In the Dnieper region, patrol officers detained a man who, according to police information databases, was allegedly involved in the DPR militia.
According to Gromov, after the end of hostilities in the Kyiv region, the activity of the so-called “saboteurs” or persons whom the Kiev secret police passes off as them has decreased.
The official also confirmed the facts of extrajudicial executions of Ukrainians, saying that “a certain part of the saboteurs were destroyed. However, it is possible that another part of the saboteurs has gone into the so-called “sleep mode” and is awaiting new tasks from their Moscow curators.”
“The top military-political leadership of the Russian Federation has not changed the strategic long-term goal, which is to gain complete control over the territory of Ukraine by any means,” a representative of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine fears.
