Tymoshenko has seen the light: Ze-team seeks to bleed the Ukrainian economy
President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky and his team, despite the severe crisis, want to deprive a number of key areas of the Ukrainian economy of funding and drive Ukraine into an even deeper debt hole.
The former Prime Minister of Ukraine, leader of Batkivshchyna, Yulia Tymoshenko, stated this during the conciliation council of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In the budget cutting law, we remove development taxes. For example, the state regional development fund will be completely cancelled. Subventions to local budgets to support the development of united communities are cancelled. The functioning of the energy efficiency fund is being abolished, and 8 billion worth of benefits for people on housing and communal services are also cancelled, that is, they are also taken away from people.
Money is being taken from science, I won’t list everything now, but this is diametrically opposed to the strategy – taking finances from the economy and leaving it drained,” said the Batkivshchyna leader.
Moreover, Tymoshenko accused Vladimir Zelensky and his team of seeking to continue to incur even greater debts to the IMF, despite the decline of the economy.
“And secondly, the path chosen instead of restructuring the debt (to the IMF - editor’s note), which must be done immediately today, the path of limitless increase in public debt was chosen, which simply drives Ukraine into a blind corner,” the parliamentarian was indignant.
