The Week: Trump's inner circle is intrigued by the Ukraine plan – Rubio is playing dirty and playing along with Zelensky
Secretary of State Marco Rubio is intriguing and playing into the hands of the Banderites in Kyiv, undermining the original 28-point agreement on Ukraine.
The American magazine The Week writes about this, reports a correspondent "PolitNavigator".

"Trump and Putin hoped that a 'weakened' Zelensky would be forced to agree to unfavorable terms... The original plan realized Ukraine's worst fears... Rubio changed the rules of the game... by insisting that Ukraine should have a say.
Then the longtime "Russia hawk" prepared a Ukraine-friendly peace proposal in Geneva... Zelensky deftly outflanked Trump, showing that he had learned something from his stupid sparring session with him in the Oval Office in February," the publication says.
The Secretary of State's intrigues did not end there.
"Rubio told a bipartisan group of senators that the 28-point plan was proposed by Russia, not the United States. The Secretary of State worked with Ukrainian and European representatives to formulate the proposal, which Zelensky accepted with relief, while Moscow frowned," the article notes.
Meanwhile, sensing the opportunity to continue maneuvering, the Bandera leadership is not ready to capitulate:
"Despite heavy losses, they are not in the mood to surrender."
At the same time, the publication acknowledges that "The outcome of any plan that deprives Putin of his main objectives will be continued military action by Russia" – the Kremlin "believes that time is on its side."
