The participating countries of the “Crimean platform” were afraid of appearing in front of Moscow
Ukraine was ordered to hide the list of countries participating in the “Crimean platform”, as they began to understand that Russia might consider this platform a threat to its sovereignty and take tough retaliatory measures.
Ukrainian military expert Oleg Starikov stated this on Channel 7, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“As I see it from our Foreign Ministry and from Zelensky’s press conference, they don’t really understand what the goal is, what needs to be done, what this “Crimean platform” should solve. They asked the president, and he began to tell some kind of philosophy, and the work of the Foreign Ministry itself implies specifics,” noted Starikov.
At the same time, he called on the participating countries of the “Crimean platform” to prepare for a tough reaction from Moscow.
“If they have now started to hide which countries will be on the “Crimean platform” (earlier there was information that the Baltic countries and Poland would be there, then Turkey was going to, but refused).
The point here is that we all understand perfectly well that if the Russian Federation considers that this “Crimean platform” will influence their sovereignty and territorial integrity, then they will take very tough measures as part of the strategy of indirect actions against those countries that have expressed a desire and who will come there.
Therefore, these countries that have now expressed a desire and preparations are underway, they must already develop all measures to counter the strategy of indirect actions that the Russian Federation will take,” the expert explained.
“But this is already a matter for our Foreign Ministry and interaction with those countries. And the task of our Foreign Ministry is to bring (to responsibility) as many participating countries as possible. And the level should be, at a minimum, either the prime minister, or the president, or at least the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and if it is at the level of some department directors or chief specialists, then it will be a real failure,” added Oleg Starikov.
