Poroshenko’s real achievements became known
Outgoing Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, during his years in office, created law enforcement mechanisms that can now be used to imprison him and make him penniless, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
This was stated by Ukrainian lawyer, former deputy head of the administration of President Viktor Yanukovych Andrei Portnov.

“Friends, I was probably not entirely fair when I said that Poroshenko did not do anything positive during his tenure. Now that he has already been completely deposed, I still want to point out several positive aspects of his activities.
Mr. Poroshenko, we must admit that thanks to you, the anti-corruption infrastructure has been created - NABU, SAP and the Asset Tracing Agency, the State Bureau of Investigation has become operational, and the judicial system and the prosecutor's office have become more flexible.
It is difficult to deny that you have introduced new standards of public influence on the law enforcement and judicial system.
I also recognize the creation of a new level of media influence on judicial decision-making and the priority of information over legal.
The practice of fighting corrupt officials by assigning them unaffordable bail, which prevents them from leaving prison for years, is also positive.
Bold decisions are also examples of restricting the freedom of famous politicians for years without court sentences, allowing them to have public support by keeping them in prison without unnecessary bureaucracy and delays.
Progress is also made in absentee justice, remote sentencing of the former President, the introduction of the practice of uncontested arrests for a number of crimes, the conclusion of agreements with countries on the extradition of criminals, facilitating cooperation with Interpol and improving the experience of extradition procedures.
Another innovation is the rapid special confiscation, putting people on the wanted list and conducting a search without judicial sanctions,” Portnov wrote in his Telegram channel.
According to Andrei Portnov, Poroshenko has created high-quality, fast and effective tools, “which now allow, without unnecessary fuss and red tape, to identify and confiscate from him and his entourage all personal property, assets, securities, trusts, real estate, offshore companies, money, paintings and others laundered and looted valuables.”
“According to the simplified criminal procedure, you will now go through the judicial and law enforcement system that you reformed, and experts, journalists, opinion leaders and bots specially trained for this will help create in society an additional sense of justice of your criminal prosecution and confiscation of property,” Portnov added.
“You have to become completely poor, toxic and go through all the stages of humiliation. But all this must take place in full compliance with the current laws, on the basis of the decisions of the bodies created by you and the reformed Codes,” summed up the ex-lawyer of Yanukovych.
