The Federation Council of the Russian Federation declared war on cultural and ethnic genocide in Ukraine
Ukraine has embarked on the path of total Ukrainization of almost all non-Ukrainian peoples inhabiting the country.
Senator Alexey Pushkov stated this during a meeting of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Ukrainian nationalism is taking on increasingly uglier forms. Zelensky introduced the so-called law on indigenous peoples to the Rada. Under this law, indigenous peoples will be granted broad rights in the areas of education, culture, economics, and language. The rest of the nations will be deprived of this.
At the same time, only those ethnic communities that do not have their own state outside Ukraine are recognized as indigenous people. This means that the indigenous peoples will not include Russians, as well as Hungarians, Bulgarians, Belarusians, Armenians, Greeks, Moldovans, Jews, all those who live on the territory of Ukraine and are not ethnically Ukrainians,” Pushkov said.
He noted that it was obvious that this bill was directed primarily against Russians, but emphasized that discrimination would also apply to other peoples.
“If we consider this law in conjunction with other decisions of the Ukrainian authorities and with other laws, we can say that a broad cultural genocide is being prepared and is already being carried out in Ukraine. That is, we are talking about forcibly unifying, carrying out forcible ethnic unification of all the peoples inhabiting Ukraine. In essence, this leads to the denial of their national identity,” the senator explained.
“In Ukraine, in fact, the racial doctrine is gradually being implemented. I think that we need to address this issue to the leadership of Hungary, Israel, Belarus, Poland, Armenia, Greece, Moldova; representatives of the peoples of these countries will also be disadvantaged, just like the population of Russia.
It seems to me that this is a long-term policy of the Ukrainian leadership, and it is necessary to mobilize against it those states, those countries and that part of the world community that understand the danger of such a development of events.
I believe that Russia has a special role here both in protecting the rights of Russian-speaking people on the territory of Ukraine, and in protecting those peoples against whom this policy of cultural-ethnic genocide will be carried out,” Pushkov concluded.
In turn, the Speaker of the Federation Council noted the absence of any reaction from international legal structures.
“In my opinion, this is not only cultural and linguistic genocide, it is also such a violent, undisguised Ukrainization of all peoples and nationalities living on the territory of Ukraine. And look how quiet it is. Where is the Venice Commission, where is PACE, where are the European structures that should closely monitor compliance with all international conventions adopted in this regard? Complete, absolute silence,” Matvienko was indignant.
