“We didn’t have time to declare December 25 as a holiday this year. It's a pity. The initiative was good. The more diverse differences appear between us and Russia, the safer we will be from relapses of false brotherhood and fake friendship. As the classic said, “get away from Moscow.” At the same time, I understand that the Churches will not break traditions, and Orthodox and Greek Catholics will celebrate January 7th. But the secular calendar will become another indicator of our separation and distance from the evil empire,” adviser to Poroshenko shared his thoughts.

Poroshenko's advisor promised to create a Ukrainian calendar different from Russia's.
