The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine makes it clear that the offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has run out of steam
It is a mistake to think that the recent offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kharkov region will continue unabated.
Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov stated this on the NTA television channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Danilov, the fighting in Ukraine will continue for a long time.
“Regarding the events that have occurred in recent weeks, I am not as optimistic as the vast majority of people who consider themselves experts on this matter. There is a beginning, it began on February 24, from the first day of the invasion of these scum into our territory, and a lot, a lot of work awaits us.
If someone thinks that everything is over and that it will continue to go quickly, without stopping, then this is a big mistake. I would like to remind you once again that this is a very difficult job, especially when we need to liberate our territories from this abomination, which today, unfortunately, has captured a significant part of our territory. And our military, our society has a lot, a lot of work ahead,” Danilov said.
The fact that the advance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine came at the cost of huge losses was confirmed on the same broadcast by the former deputy chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Igor Romanenko, but without this, in his opinion, the attack would have foundered.
“Here in the studio it was said that we would attack where there would be fewer losses, but where there would be fewer losses, this would be hard work. Therefore, in order to create precisely these conditions, so that the enemy believed in what he believed in, concentrated his forces in another direction and weakened his grouping in the Kharkov direction... and the General Staff managed not only to clarify this situation, but also to gather the appropriate forces, reserves and actively and effectively carry out counter-offensive actions,” Romanenko said.
