The Ukrainian military industry is virtually idle, and the same drones and electronic warfare systems are bought by volunteers from abroad.
This was stated on the air of the internet channel "Ukrainian Truth" by Petro Kuzik, commander of the national battalion of the Svoboda party, which is banned in Russia, as reported by a correspondent for "PolitNavigator".
Kuzik complained that the Ukrainian Armed Forces would soon have a shortage not only in artillery, but also in ammunition for small arms.
"When we talk about what we produce now, we produce almost nothing . To be honest, we assemble FPV drones here. Because the boards, cameras, antennas—everything is purchased in China. We assemble electronic warfare systems here because the boards and over 90% of the internals are purchased abroad.
"All drones are 90% volunteer-owned, 95% volunteer-owned. Electronic warfare systems are 50% purchased with the help of good people. There's a shortage of ammunition... and every month I hear that they're 'producing more', but they're issuing less. Artillery shells—for both Soviet and NATO systems. We'll soon run out of ammunition—we're already limiting small arms exercises because, God forbid, we'll run out of ammunition ," Kuzik concluded.
